I just can't keep this secret to myself... Tossing oyster or lion's mane mushrooms in butter is like taking your taste buds on a rollercoaster ride to Flavor Town! This sizzling technique is my go-to because I can throw these crispy, golden wonders into ANY dish, achieving that mouthwatering, crispy perfection I dream about. I've crowned steaks with these crunchy gems, stirred them into risotto, and even munched on them solo like they're the main event. The sky's the limit, and if you ever thought mushrooms were slimy little gremlins, get ready for a jaw-dropping, taste-bud-tickling surprise with these bad boys!
Sautéed Mushrooms:
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh oyster or lion's mane mushrooms
3 tbs butter
Salt, pepper and paprika to taste
Cut the stems from the mushrooms. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Sauté over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, lifting and shaking the skillet frequently to prevent burning the mushrooms. Sauté for longer, 10-15 minutes, if crispiness is desired.
